Day 22
Hello! Today was a LONG day. I woke up and got ready for school! I left the house to catch the bus to the train station. As I got on the bus, I started to feel sick. So I got to the train station and decided to get back on the bus to go home. I felt so dumb to ride the bus all the way there just to get back on the same bus. I went home and talked to my host mom who understood what was happening. She told me we will go to the doctor at 4 pm. I ended up calling both my mom and brandon today! I had nice conversations with each person. We then had lunch and Halu took a nap. Me and my host mom listened to music that we liked! I was very upset and confused because I played Piano Man for her and it sounded different from how it usually sounded. I taught her about what the Mandela effect was and how it was happening to me. I swear that song was different and now Im mad. Anyways, we went to the doctor and it was so cute there. They tested me for a UTI which is what I had before I came to japan. I showed them the medicine I took and had been taking for the past couple of weeks. The doctor eventually met with us and told me I didnt have a UTI but, there was definitely something wrong. You see, I went to the urgent care in america THE DAY BEFORE I LEFT. I went and they gave me a bunch of medication but specifically a liquid one that I was supposed to take 2x a day for five days. The bottle said 6 mL per day. Easy right? Nope. I read the doctors note which said 300 mg. I was like thats a lot?! But I took the 300 mg which is about 30 mL. I TOOK THE AMOUNT OF MEDICINE I WAS SUPPOSED TO TAKE OVER FIVE DAYS IN ONE NIGHT. So Im freaking out and my mom is freaking out. So I look up symptoms of overdose for this medicine. Its vomiting, nausea, and SEIZURES. Well the next couple of hours go by and none of those happened. Same with the next few days! What a relief! I was okay! WRONG 👎👎❌❌🙅♀️🙅♀️. All of the stomach issues that I was having here in Japan was caused by this accident. I overdosed and now Im paying the price. Moral of the story PLEASE read everything carefully 🙏. So they prescribed me some medicine to hopefully make it go away for good. If not, I may have a stomach ulcer or something and Ill have to see a gastronology? IDK. Mistranslation but my host mom knows so she can help. Anyways we came home and had dinner and I was able to take my first round of meds. I hope they help me because if they dont im going to be really mad. So today ended on a good note! Im so grateful to my host parents for taking such good care of me! They are so awesome and I was so lucky to have been paired with them! Goodnight everyone!
