Day 25
Hello! Today was AWESOME! I woke up and went to my host moms Japanese class. I learned a lot! I really enjoy class. Then I came home and tried all the pastries that we got yesterday. Heres the rub down: Curry bread - 10000/10, Lemon bread - 10/10, cinnamon roll - 9/10, and cheese danish - 8/10. Then we were all sitting around and chilling when we decided to spontaneously go out for a trip. I had plans at 5 so we had three hours to kill. We went to a temple! We had to hike up a hill to get to the temple. On the way up there was a tree that had a hole in it and apparently if you crawl through it, the gods will bless you with children. Climbing through it symbolizes birth so you will have kids in the future. Then we got to the top on the huge hill. There was two little shops and then the temple. The cafe and shop were cat themed! I bought a lot of cat stuff hehehehe. Me and my host mom got matching pearl cat earrings. We then climbed to the top of the temple. It was amazing. The view was amazing and the temple was gorgeous. The temple was built around a thousand years ago! We climbed back down and visited the shops and left. We decided to quickly stop at a cafe to get some shaved ice and gelato. They had a mango passion fruit shaved ice so thats what I got. They got some gelato and we all shared. There was an olive flavor one and we tried it. I didnt like it at all. Then we had to hurry back so I could meet my friends for okonomiyaki. It was soooooo good and I ate so much! Our receipt was ¥6,666 which we thought was so crazy. Then we walked around town and talked until we went home. After Halu was put to bed, my host family and I played card games. I taught them garbage and go fish. Today was so much fun! The next two days will be rainy so we went out when we could. Good night everyone!
