Day 29

Hello! Today has been a really busy day! First I went to school but they were doing some drills for emergencies so school ended at 9:45 am. The train we needed to catch for today was at 9:53. We busted our butts to catch the train and ended up running a little bit. We managed to get there just in time! We made it back to toke and split up. Nanami went to her house while me and stef went back to my house. The plan was to go home and change and then meet up at the train station to head to tokyo. We all met back up and went to a convenience store for some water and snacks. We lost track of time and all of a sudden our train was leaving in 3 minutes! So again, we ran as fast as we could to the station. However, stef and I’s suica declined and stef turned back. I thought the ladys card  behind me declined so I kept going. Soon enough we were headed to tokyo disney! When I went to scan my card to let me through, it wouldnt work. I had to pay the same amount it wouldve charged my card. No big deal! We made it there and started our walk to the park! Our first stop was a crème brûlée churro! It was soooo good. Then we got in line for Big Thunder Mountain. It took a lottttt of convincing for me to go. As many of you may know, I HATE roller coasters. HATE. So Im on the verge of tears while we are waiting and Im so scared. I was trying to stay positive and Nanami and Stef were really helping. Finally, it was our turn to get on. I was so scared but there was no turning back. I was gripping Nanamis hand so hard the whole time. But it was actually kind of fun! I told them thank you for pushing me to go on the ride because I wouldve never done it otherwise. Then we went to Its a Small World which was sooooo cute! I really liked it. We went to a cafe for lunch where Nanami and Stef had burgers and I had a passionfruit and vanilla cream jelly dessert. IT WAS SOOOO GOOD. We then went to Winnie the Pooh’s honey hunt! It was soooo cute and had some really high tech stuff. Next we went to Snow White ride but I had to go to the bathroom really bad so they went without me. After that, we went to toon town for some pictures. They rode another ride there and I sat by a hugeeee fountain! In the end we went shopping for some souvenirs and I got my host parents and I some matching keychains! We walked back to the train and omg we were soo tired. I ended up falling asleep on Stef’s shoulder on the train lol. We made it home safe and sound so all is well. I am so tired and my feet hurt like crazy but today was sooooooooooooooo worth it! Goodnight everyone!

 Hi! Today was my first full day in Japan! I figured I would update this every night before I go to bed. But I realize it’s like 5 am for you guys lol. Anyways, my first day was awesome! For breakfast we had rice, sunny side up eggs, miso soup, and natto. Natto is a traditional breakfast item and its basically very sticky beans. I didnt really like them but it was okay. I helped clean up and then me and my host dad, kyohei, went exploring the town! He renovates houses so he showed me his current project and another house he did. I may be able to help him paint some of the house! After that we went to a small shop in town to get dango 🍡 and we stopped at a convenience store. It was really cool, they had a lot of things. Then we went home and had some noodles for lunch. At about 1:50, kyohei and I went to catch a bus to the train station. We took the train to togane train station and went to go see my school! Hello everyone! I am so exhausted! Today me and my host mom had girls day! We dropped Halu off at the daycare and caught the train to Asakusa, Tokyo! We got off the train and headed to shop. Asakusa is set up like the old time Japan with many different vendors set up in traditional shops. It was really cool. There was also a temple and it was really pretty! I bought sooo much. I spent $279 even! After we were finished shopping and looking around we headed to Ginza to shop some more. Ruby is going to be so jealous I know. We went to the Sanrio store. It was crazy! There was so much stuff I didnt even know where to start. My feet started to hurt so we went to dinner and it was really yummy. We had a lot of food! After that, we went back to where we came from and the. walked to downtown Ginza. It was so beautiful! Ginza is the most expensive part of Tokyo. The main strip was covered with stores like Bulgari, tiffany & co, cartier, Louis Vuitton, and soooo much more. It was fun to look...

Past few days.

Hello everyone! I know its been a couple of days. I have been pretty busy! Two nights ago, I was at a camp for yfu kids and I barely had any reception. Last night I typed this post pit but I fell asleep before posting it lol. So this is what happened the past three days. On saturday, I went to this gigantic mall with Nanami, Ibuki, and Stef. It was huge and it was sooo fun! I bought an expensive bracelet (sorry mom) but it was cheaper here than it would be in the US so a win is a win. The next day, I had to go to a YFU camp in the middle of no where with some YFU kids. It was pretty fun but I wanted to spend time with my host family instead. They served us dinner and we played a bunch of games and stuff. The next day, so yesterday, they took us to Narita to see a famous temple. The temple was amazing.
