Day 33

Hellooooo! I had sooo much fun today. I had such a hard time sleeping last night. There was a huge storm last night. It was pouring with really bright lightning and really loud thunder. It was really scary! The power went out for a bit so that was crazy. I felt like I was back home im WI lol. I didnt sleep until 1am so I slept in today. This morning I taught my host dad how to play skull king! We had a lot of  fun foguring it out. Then some old lady neighbors came over to help us wear yukata! Yukata is traditional summer clothes. I aas originally supposed to wear one of my host family’s but the lady let me use hers. After I put it on, she decided to give it to me so now I own a pretty pink Yukata! Then we hung out until it was time to go to a family friends house. My host mom knows her through the daycare that she tales Halu to. She lives in a traditional style Japanese house and it was absolutely gorgeous. We hung out there for a while and then we stopped at a bakery on the way home. We picked up some sweets for desert. For dinner we had left over curry, yum! My host mom and I then went for a short walk and when we returned home we had our sweets. She put Halu to sleep and then we had girls night! We did our nails and it was so fun! Im pretty tired so goodnight everyone!

Past few days.

Hello everyone! I know its been a couple of days. I have been pretty busy! Two nights ago, I was at a camp for yfu kids and I barely had any reception. Last night I typed this post pit but I fell asleep before posting it lol. So this is what happened the past three days. On saturday, I went to this gigantic mall with Nanami, Ibuki, and Stef. It was huge and it was sooo fun! I bought an expensive bracelet (sorry mom) but it was cheaper here than it would be in the US so a win is a win. The next day, I had to go to a YFU camp in the middle of no where with some YFU kids. It was pretty fun but I wanted to spend time with my host family instead. They served us dinner and we played a bunch of games and stuff. The next day, so yesterday, they took us to Narita to see a famous temple. The temple was amazing. Last day 🥲

Today was my last full day in Japan. Im soooooo sad. I dont want to leave 💔. Today felt like any other day. I woke up and had breakfast. We hung out until it was time to go out and get some lunch. We got takoyaki! It was really good. After that, we went shopping for some last minute things! We then started dinner after returning home. We had an italian style dinner! It was really yummy. After putting Halu to bed and packing the remaining stuff, we played skull king! It was so much fun and my host parents really liked it. My host dad ended up winning with me in second and my host mom in last. Its been so nice here and im so thankful to have stayed with them! Goodnight!

Day 34

Todays post will be a little short! Im sooooo tired. Today was awesome! This morning was pretty chill but this afternoon my friends (stef, nanami, and ibuki) came over for a gyoza (dumpling) party! We went to the store to buy the groceries and got started. we had a lot of fun making them and I cant wait to make them again. We cooked them up and had dinner. It was so fun! There were many laughs and memories made. It makes me sad that I leave soon :(. It was so fun and Im so grateful to have made such good friends  This may be the last time Ill see them before I leave so it was kinda bittersweet. Ill miss them dearly but hopefully we’ll meet again! Goodnight!
